About Paradise CSA

With your support, this will be the first year of operation for the Paradise CSA. I am hoping to have between 10-15 shareholders for a trial run, and will be open to your feedback about how to improve and grow for the future.

You can expect the following types of produce in your shares:

June:
- baby lettuce varieties
- early radishes
- greens (beet)

July:
- early tomatoes
- early peppers
- cherries
- herbs (basil, mint, parsley, etc)
- baby cucumbers
- beans
- peas
- radish
- mature lettuce varieties

August:
- carrots
- young potatoes
- tomatoes (Scotia, beefsteak, etc)
- peppers (red and green bell, jalapeno)
- beans
- peas
- onions
- cucumbers
- zucchini
- herbs
- beets

September/Early October:
- squash
- carrots
- potatoes
- late tomatoes
- late peppers
- onions
- pears

Your input is very important - if there is something missing from the list that you would like to see, please let me know and I will plant it!

When growing produce, I use a technique called companion planting to reduce pests. My potato and cucumber plants are the only ones to receive one or two light sprays when the potato bugs and cucumber beetles first appear. All other fruits and produce are untouched.
